Can we make fish sticks?

I’ve been slowly showing Thomas pictures of his life at the CWI. Today we looked at pictures a visiting family took of him in June.

I showed him the picture and said, “Oh look, here’s one of you eating lunch. Uummmm, is that yummy?”

Thomas replies, “NO! YUCK! YUCKY! Can we make fish sticks?”

I said, “Yes, we can make fish sticks baby.”

Thomas says, “An Men Yuan never, never, never eat that again!”

I said, “No, you never have to eat that again!”

And then we made fish sticks!

Thomas Home for 6 Weeks!

Thomas has been home for 6 weeks. He is the perfect addition to our

family! He and my 5 year old are best buddies these days and run around the house playing and giggling. It's nearly impossible to get them to go to sleep at night! You can see them pretending to sleep in the picture above.

I home school my kids and my 5 year old started Kindergarten this year. Thomas sits with us at the the little table when we are doing seat work and colors, draws, and does our art projects with us! He LOVES glue sticks!!!!! He repeats the phonics lessons after me and can

almost sing the ABC song in English.

He has a stuffed Curious George that he just LOVES. He calls him "Monkey". He takes very good care him. He feeds him (I have to make Monkey his own plate for meals), takes him to the potty, "reads" him books and puts him to bed at night. It's too cute. We get a Curious George show on PBS here and he gets so excited when it comes on. He

jumps up into the recliner with "Monkey" and they watch it. And, of course, my 5 year old is in the same chair. They are quite a 3 some!

My 5 year old is ready to go back to China and get another little brother. He says that you really need at least 3 "real people" to play Duck Duck Goose. He says Monkey doesn't count! My daughter (who is 13) says that there will be NO more boys and that we need to go back to China and get a female member for our family as the females are presently quite out numbered!

Professional Pictures

We needed a “professional” photo of Thomas to send in as part of a grant requirement, so we took him in this morning. I was afraid he would act all shy and not smile or look at the camera. Boy was I wrong. What a ham!
